In the Beginning...

Exelents was formed by a few good friends from another MMO (Anarchy Online). The Goal back then was mainly to learn the game and PvP a lot. We stayed small for a long time but after a few months we started to invite people who we played a lot with. We slowly grew a little bigger and we stared to learn the game pretty well, but we still mostly PvPed. You might have heard of Majkohs and Tarasques adventures at Tyrs Hand ;) . Just before TBC came out, a lot of guilds broke up and some of the scattered members found its way to Exelents. We grew a lot bigger and fast. We started to try out some easy PvE instances like Zul Gurub and found that is was actually quite fun. By the time TBC came out we had around 100 members. The original members didn’t know many of them and we had lots of members who were inactive, mostly played alts etc. So we started a cleanup… threw out many members who were mostly inactive and lots of alts. We had chats with some members that weren’t playing that much, some stayed some left. Now we are down to around 40-50 members. All of this has made Exelents what it is. At the start we were small and only close friends, then to big and not that much control. We now know that we wish to be somewhere in between the two extremes. We also have a lot of love for PvP but we know that we want to do some PvE as well.

Present…

Right now we have a good solid group of members. But we feel that we need more of some classes. We are also going threw some changes. From being just PvP to more serious PvE. This takes a lot more work and more dedication from officers and members. And with TBC out and running, new PVE instances and Arena PvP coming this is an exiting time!

Future…

We want to be a guild that can best be described as semi-serious. But it is important to understand what parts are serious. We do not intend to raid every single day. We don’t have officers that will force you to do stuff for no reason. Officers are here to make the guild work, not to boss people around. We don’t mind if you take a vacation a few weeks. What we do expect from our members is that when we do something, it should be done well! If you sign up for a PvE then you better come, and you have to come in time, preferably a few minutes early and you should come prepared, have all the required mods installed and have the pots etc. that you will need and be repaired. And you should always listen to the officers and treat them with respect. Not because they are “better” than you, but remember that they work hard to make the Exelents a great place to be! We want to keep the “small guild” feeling that we had in the beginning as much as possible. We want to know our members and we feel that playing world of warcraft should be more fun than work. If you already are a member of Exelents, well Congratulations! If you want to join, this should give you a good idea about what we are, but there is still so much more we could tell you… you just have to apply and hopefully you’ll get into what we feel is the Best guild ever made!
